Welcome to my website. My name is Joseph DelGrippo, sportswriter, commentator and broadcaster. I write articles for www.dugoutcentral.com, a baseball website and for a blog on si.com under the name of thejobarules. In addition, there are various appearances as a baseball anaylst on several sports radio talk shows including "The Locker Room" with Kevin Williams every Monday and Friday at 3:20 PM EST on www.wobmam.com 1160 AM/1310 AM on Fox Sports.

My talk radio aspirations begin with podcasts and live interviews on my own and with sports personalities on Talkshoe.com and blogtalkradio.com. Eventually, I will have my own sports talk radio show. I also have taken broadcasting lessons from David Brody of Broadcasting Marketing Services.

On this site, I will combine all my talents of writing, talk and analysis of all sports, but will concentrate on baseball and football.

I played baseball in college, at tiny Marietta (OH) College, participating in the Division 3 World Series. In addition, I have coached baseball at the high school level. My knowledge of this game goes far beyond what is shown on television.

My favorites teams are the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys and over time I have moved away from the New York teams in both basketball and hockey. I have followed the New Jersey Devils over the last ten years. The college favorite is the University of Notre Dame.

All favorites are pretty much what my dad followed, but some people have questioned this because of the Cowboys. My dad was a New York Giants fan and his favorite player was Tom Landry, who was originally a defensive back for the Giants and then defensive coordinator. When Landry gained the head coaching job of the expansion franchise Dallas Cowboys in 1960, my dad became a Cowboys fan.
